lake tahoe tmr, i'm all packed up and ready to go. went shopping just now to get a waterproof jacket, a pair of new shoes as well as track pants to battle out the cold. 2 weeks have past and i have yet to settle down properly. oh wells, time to get serious and perhaps think of what stuff i wan to join as well as achieve in the next one year as well as start reading my textbook.

hope tahoe will be fun without a snowstorm. will post pictures up:)

went to the Ikea at emeryville with zhi kuang to get his stuff for his room, haha, it was kinda interesting to compare between the Ikea in US with that of Singapore, haha, one thing for sure, they still sell yummy hot dogs and ice cream, and it is dirt cheap, like at 59 cents or smth. haha, i even bought mash potatoes, the frozen kind, going to try making it for dinner tomorrow then. The ride home was terrible, with all the furniture stuffed into his mini cooper, haha, i was like a trapped animal or smth, oh wells, i guess its stuff like this that makes everything more memorable. sigh, weather getting colder nowadays, and i was shivering day in and out.. time to get more warm clothes and coats, and time to go shopping soon, perhaps next week? haha, i nid new shoes coz my old sneakers and shoes have spoilt.

been reading thru the facebook case analysis and found it really interesting, hopefully the class tomorrow will be a fun one:)

Here are some pictures...been so tired lately, stanford to nanogram back to home and back to stanford. sigh, we are surviving on bare minimal amount of sleep. work is tiring, school is overloaded with projects.......but one good thing is, lake tahoe this weekend. haa, skiing and hope it will be damn fun:)

after a long break, finally settled down to blog. lets see what i have accomplished.

- had a group costume thingy where we wear the ghostbusters
- managed to find a house that was real pretty
- moved into our new house using a large U haul van
- went furniture shopping and unpacked all my baggage
- spent loads of money on groceries and furniture shopping
- seriously starting work
- going to Momma's dinner at this super big sized caucasian women where we had delicious mushroom, pork, roasted chicken, raisin bread, refreshing lemonade and yummy corn fritters
- sat in a mini cooper for a ride for the first time
- bought a desk lamp for myself
- finally learnt to appreciate the importance of breakfast
- and lots and lots of fun stuff but yet unhappiness at times
- started to question myself regarding certain aspect of my life
- felt irritated.

so much to write, yet so little time to blog. so much to see, but yet so lazy to take pix. haha, my pictures are all with hengfai, shall post it up soon:) all i want for next week is to be happy. have faith:)

long day today, with my favourite activity: shopping!! haha, went to the GREAT MALL, haa, loads of factory outlet, i nearly went crazy in Victoria's Secret and Forever 21, it was freaking cheap, Victoria secret had 50 per cent off while the tops at Forever 21 costed less than USD 20 bucks, and there was a 99 cents section. haha, heng i only had 1 hr to shop, bought 1 new sweater and another long sleeve top as it is really coldddd here, haha, and it costed onli like 18 bucks each in sing dollars, i can slap myself for buying stuff in singapore. Levis cost like 19 USD here:) haha, i need lots of money to support my shopping spree:):)

dinner was yummy at this place called Chilli's. haha, super big portions and super yummy.... hee hee, but the temperature was super cold today.

haa, promised hengfai that i will blog 365 times this yr though its kinda hard. haha, classes today, talking abt the history of silicon valley during e145, haha, but was kinda spaced out in the middle cos was realli a teeny weeny bit tired, mus be the jetlagging soon. hmm, haven really settled on housing and new change of plans, so sick of imposing on our snrs and can't wait to settle down and move in ASAP, either too many people or its too expensive. haa, siann. and i'm freaking tired of people being irresponsible and unreasonable. weather is pretty cold here and i'm down with flu... hopefully i'll recover soon.

end of the second day, super jet lagged as i felt like falling asleep at different parts of the day:( in addition to the cold weather. haha, house hunting was quite fun, but at the end of the day, just felt like moving into a new house as soon as we can. haha, lunch today was good at a mexican restaurant, i tink i can just be contented with eating kid's meal as the portion are super large. anyway, we attempted to cook dinner today and it was quite a success. kudos to the guys help as well. shall post more pix tmr.

Finally the end of day 1, whew, with lessons and jetleg as well as setting up of the bank acct and the telephone line, it was definitely a damn hectic day:( boo, seriously felt like falling asleep immediately at several points of time of the day, oh well, at least i managed to settle my phone line now. hee, everything is pretty expensive here, had to pay US500 for the phone line as a deposit, sigh, i'm pretty much broke. haha, and eating fast food here is the cheapest which is still quite expensive and not to mention fattening. the seniors were telling us we will at least put on 5 kg, omg....i better think of an exercise plan fast! hee, but they were realli nice in sending us ard, arranging for our dinner and stuff, so really glad that they are so friendly.

househunting day tmr!!

Curently now on the flight to San Francisco, its now 4pm in Singapore time, haha, but the sky outside the window is horrendously dark. It’s quite cool since the sky was clear and sunny like 15mins ago when I opened the window. Didn’t get to do much besides sleeping and eating for the past few hours on the plane, haha, still feeling so tired despite sleeping for such a long amount of time. Hmm, we stopped by Narita-Tokyo just now and it was quite cool to see the Japanese vending machines as well as taking some pictures at the airport. Haha, one of my new year resolutions would be to take more pictures and update more on my blog about my 1 yr journey to the US.

Was quite sad to leave today morning, and touched by the 4/1 peeps that came to sent me off. Hee, although they were pretty much involved in doing spastic stuff at the airport. LolJ but oh well, it was fun, and really glad that simon and my parents were able to send me off. The journey to the airport with my 2*23kg luggage was horrendouns, and turned out that most of the guys are bringing super little amount of luggage, haha, only the 2 girls seem to be over bringing stuff but better prepared that not right?

Initially tot that the airplane will be quite cuiz, being a budget one and cheap fares, but its quite good, leg room comparableb to SQ and the food is quite good with in flight entertainment as well… so I guess, its lucky for us since it’s a long long flight. Haha, I got 7 hrs more to go as well as 2 more meals to eat…. And tomorrow shall be an eventful day, with opening bank accts, telephone lines and LESSONS….sigh, lessons on the first day of school….sianzzzz. okie , I shall continue again some other time, probably tomorrow. Haha, I’m starting to miss Singapore already.

hey guys,

thanks for all the well wishes and goodbyes. hee, but it's just for a year and not forever:) I'm feeling excited, sad, emo, tired all mixed at the same time. Excited that my life is going to change from tomorrow onwards, sad cos I will be leaving so many family and friends being, and tired as I have yet to get enough sleep. But oh well, I will definitely post my adventures on this blog as well as nice pictures.

special thanks to bro jeremy, who made me a scrapbook to remember the 18/03 peeps, who reminded me of memories that we had. Haha, and even inccidents that I can no longer remember, I feel really touched. And to wenjie, minkok, esther and weixin who took the effort to send me off, I'm really happy to have friends like you all. Not forgetting hilda who came down to my house to pass me the yummy chocs as well as well wishes from so many friends, I'm glad I have friends like you guys;)
